Jimmie Dale Gilmore – One Endless Night

One Endless Night by Jimmie Dale Gilmore, released in 2000, is his sixth studio album. While not achieving significant mainstream chart success, it reached number 29 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. 

While Jimmie Dale Gilmore is a respected songwriter, the album One Endless Night consists mainly of cover songs. Of the twelve tracks, only two were co-written by Gilmore: the title track "One Endless Night" (with David Hammond) and "Blue Shadows" (with Hal Ketchum). The remaining songs are interpretations of works by other songwriters, including Butch Hancock, Townes Van Zandt, Willis Alan Ramsey, Walter Hyatt, John Hiatt, Jesse Winchester, Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, Tom Campbell and Steve Gillette, and Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht.
