Jesse Stone: Stone Cold is a 2005 television movie directed by Robert Harmon and starring Tom Selleck as the eponymous character. The film is based on the Jesse Stone series of novels by Robert B. Parker.
In the movie, Jesse Stone, a former Los Angeles homicide detective, has been forced to resign due to his drinking problem. He accepts the position of police chief in the small town of Paradise, Massachusetts, hoping to start a new life and leave his past behind.
However, Jesse soon discovers that Paradise is not as idyllic as it seems. The town is plagued by a series of brutal murders, and Jesse must use his experience and intuition to solve the crimes. As he investigates, he uncovers a web of corruption and deceit that threatens to destroy the town's reputation.
Along the way, Jesse struggles with his personal demons and forms a complicated relationship with a local woman named Abby Taylor. Despite facing opposition from the town's political establishment, Jesse perseveres in his pursuit of justice, even if it means putting his own life at risk.
