Jackson Browne's "Running On Empty" was released on December 6,1977 and
became his biggest commercial success. It is a unique live album,
recorded on the road, that captured the feeling of being a touring
musician. The album features some of his most popular songs, including
the title track, which reached number eleven on the Billboard chart,
and "The Load-Out/Stay". "Running On Empty" went on to sell over seven
million copies and was certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA.
