Jackie Chan's First Strike is a 1996 Hong Kong action-comedy film directed by Stanley Tong and starring Jackie Chan. The film follows Chan's character, a Hong Kong police officer named Jackie, as he travels to Ukraine to recover stolen nuclear warheads and stop a criminal organization from using them for their own nefarious purposes.
The film is known for its elaborate action sequences and stunts, which are a trademark of Chan's films. These include a ski chase, a fight on top of a moving hovercraft, and a finale set on the Sydney Opera House.
In addition to the action, the film also features comedic moments and romance, with Chan's character falling in love with a Ukrainian translator played by Ukrainian actress Yuri Petrova.
"Jackie Chan's First Strike" was a commercial success, grossing over HKD 40 million in Hong Kong and becoming the highest-grossing film of 1996 in the region. It was also released internationally and helped to further establish Chan's popularity as an action star.
