Fairweather Johnson is the second studio album released by the American rock band. It was released on April 23, 1996, following the massive success of their debut album "Cracked Rear View." The album featured a similar sound to their previous work, blending elements of rock, pop, and country.
"Fairweather Johnson" performed well on the Billboard charts, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's second consecutive album to reach the top spot. It stayed in the top 10 for several weeks and ultimately achieved double-platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), indicating the sale of over two million copies in the United States.
The album spawned several singles, including "Old Man & Me (When I Get to Heaven)," "Tucker's Town," and "Sad Caper." While these singles achieved moderate success on the charts, they didn't reach the same level of commercial impact as the hits from their debut album.
