Directed by Martin Campbell and produced by Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti, this 2011 superhero film brings the iconic DC Comics character to the big screen. The story stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, a gifted but cocky test pilot who becomes the first human recruited into the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic squadron of warriors sworn to keep peace in the universe. After receiving a mystical ring from a dying alien, Hal must overcome his fears to master his new powers and stop the parapsychological entity known as Parallax from destroying the balance of power in the cosmos.
