Great White – Hooked

Great White's fifth studio album, Hooked, hit shelves on February 18, 1991. Though it lacked a mega-hit single like its predecessor "...Twice Shy," Hooked achieved commercial success, reaching number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning a Gold certification from the RIAA in April 1991. 

Known for their hard-driving rock sound, Great White took a more relaxed and melodic direction with Hooked, incorporating bluesy influences. Reviews generally praise this shift in style.

Here's a fun fact for collectors: The original album cover featured a nude model being hoisted from the water by a hook. This was deemed too racy and replaced with a cover showing only the model's head and arms above water. The original cover can still be found on the initial Japanese pressing.
