God's Not Dead is a 2014 Christian drama film directed by Harold Cronk. The movie follows the story of a college student named Josh Wheaton, played by Shane Harper, who finds himself in a philosophical battle with his atheistic philosophy professor, Professor Radisson, portrayed by Kevin Sorbo.

The plot unfolds as Professor Radisson challenges his students to deny the existence of God in order to pass his class. Josh, a devout Christian, refuses to comply and instead takes on the daunting task of defending his faith in a series of debates. Along the way, he faces ridicule, opposition, and even rejection from his girlfriend for his unwavering belief.

As the narrative progresses, the movie interweaves the lives of various characters, including a Muslim girl who secretly converts to Christianity, a Christian pastor facing a terminal illness, and a Chinese exchange student wrestling with his own beliefs. These subplots serve to illustrate different aspects of faith and its impact on people's lives.

Ultimately, the film builds towards a climactic courtroom showdown between Josh and Professor Radisson, where Josh defends the existence of God and the validity of his faith. The resolution of the case and its aftermath reaffirm the movie's central message: that faith can withstand intellectual scrutiny and personal challenges.
