Getaway is a high-octane action thriller film released in 2013, directed by Courtney Solomon and starring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez in the lead roles. The movie follows the story of former race car driver, Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke), whose wife is kidnapped by an unknown assailant. In order to save his wife, Brent is forced into a high-stakes mission involving fast cars, intense chases, and a race against time.
The film begins with Brent returning home to find his house ransacked and his wife missing. He receives a phone call from the kidnapper, who instructs him to steal a custom Shelby Mustang and follow a series of dangerous tasks. Along the way, Brent encounters a young hacker named "The Kid" (Selena Gomez), who becomes an unwilling accomplice in his mission. As they work together, Brent and The Kid must navigate through a city filled with obstacles, including corrupt cops and ruthless criminals, all while being pursued by the mysterious kidnapper.
