Garfield: The Movie is a live-action comedy film based on the popular comic strip created by Jim Davis. The movie was released in 2004 and directed by Peter Hewitt. It features a mix of live-action and computer-generated imagery to bring Garfield the cat to life.

The plot of the movie centers around Garfield, a lazy and overweight orange tabby cat, who lives with his owner, Jon Arbuckle, a hapless and love-struck cartoonist. Jon has a crush on his veterinarian, Liz, and adopts a stray dog named Odie in an attempt to impress her. Garfield initially resents Odie's presence but eventually befriends him. However, when Odie is abducted by a greedy TV personality who wants to use him for his talent show, Garfield sets out to rescue him and save the day.

The movie features the voice of Bill Murray as Garfield, along with live-action performances by Breckin Meyer as Jon Arbuckle, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Liz, and Stephen Tobolowsky as Happy Chapman, the villainous TV host. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising Murray's voice performance as Garfield, while others found the film to be lackluster and formulaic.
