Beg For Mercy is the debut studio album by the hip-hop group G Unit, which consisted of members 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck. The album was released on November 14, 2003, under the labels G-Unit Records, Interscope Records, and Shady Records. It was primarily produced by 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, among others.
Beg For Mercy was well-received by both fans and critics and achieved commercial success. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 377,000 copies in its first week. It eventually went on to be certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), indicating sales of over two million copies in the United States.
The album spawned several successful singles, including "Stunt 101," "Wanna Get to Know You," and "Poppin' Them Thangs." "Stunt 101" peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the group's highest-charting single from the album. The other singles also performed well on the charts, solidifying G Unit's presence in the rap scene at the time.
