Footloose is a 2011 musical-drama film directed by Craig Brewer and starring Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Andie MacDowell, and Dennis Quaid. The movie is a remake of the 1984 film of the same name.

The plot centers around a young man named Ren McCormack (played by Wormald) who moves from Boston to a small town in Georgia. He is surprised to discover that dancing and loud music have been banned in the town after a tragic accident involving teenagers who were out partying.

Ren becomes interested in a local girl named Ariel (Hough), who is the daughter of the town's minister (Quaid). Ariel is rebellious and longs to escape the small town and its strict rules. Ren tries to win her heart while also trying to overturn the ban on dancing.

The film features several musical numbers, including covers of classic songs from the original movie like "Footloose" and "Holding Out for a Hero." The soundtrack also includes original songs performed by Blake Shelton, who also appears in the film as a country singer.

Overall, the 2011 version of "Footloose" received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success, grossing over $62 million worldwide.
