Hold Your Fire is the second studio album by the hard rock band FireHouse, hitting the shelves in June 1992. This album made a notable mark in the rock scene, spending thirty weeks in the Billboard 200 Top Albums chart and peaking at No. 23.
The release of "Hold Your Fire" saw the emergence of several hit singles, including "Reach for the Sky," "Sleeping with You," and the soulful ballad "When I Look into Your Eyes." Such success led to the album earning gold certification from the RIAA in the United States.
Not only does "Hold Your Fire" showcase FireHouse's signature melodic hard rock style, but it also bears a distinctive touch. Interestingly, the album shares the same snare sound as Dream Theater's "Images and Words," another project produced by David Prater around the same time, adding an intriguing sonic connection between two influential albums in the early '90s rock landscape.
