Dr. Seuss' The Lorax is a computer-animated musical comedy film based on the 1971 children's book of the same name by Dr. Seuss. The movie was released in 2012 and was directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda.
The story takes place in a world where trees and nature have been replaced by artificial products made by a greedy industrialist named O'Hare, who has convinced the town's residents that they don't need nature anymore. The main character, a young boy named Ted, sets out to find a real tree for the girl he likes, and in doing so, he meets the Once-ler, a recluse who tells him the story of how the Lorax, a creature who speaks for the trees, tried to protect the forest from destruction by the Once-ler's greed.
The film features the voices of Danny DeVito as the Lorax, Ed Helms as the Once-ler, and Zac Efron as Ted, among others. The movie is known for its colorful and imaginative animation, catchy musical numbers, and important environmental message about the dangers of unchecked greed and the importance of preserving nature.
