De-Lovely is a 2004 biographical musical film that tells the story of the life and career of the legendary American composer and songwriter Cole Porter. The film was directed by Irwin Winkler and stars Kevin Kline as Porter, with Ashley Judd playing his wife, Linda Porter.

The film is framed as a retrospective of Porter's life, with the aging songwriter looking back on his career and reflecting on his achievements and relationships. The story is told through a series of flashbacks, with Porter's most famous songs being woven into the narrative.

The film explores Porter's personal and professional relationships, including his marriage to Linda, who supported him throughout his career despite his extramarital affairs with both men and women. The film also portrays Porter's struggles with his own identity and self-acceptance, particularly his fear of being exposed as a gay man in a time when homosexuality was largely taboo.

De-Lovely features numerous performances of Porter's most beloved songs, including "Anything Goes," "Let's Do It," and "Night and Day." The film received critical acclaim for its performances, music, and costume design, with Kevin Kline earning a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Cole Porter.
