Cinderella's debut studio album, Night Songs, was released on June 9, 1986, by Mercury Records. The glam metal album peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard charts in February 1987 and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA, signifying sales of over 3 million copies in the US. While the lead single "Shake Me" failed to make the charts, "Nobody's Fool" cracked the Top 20, reaching No. 13.
