Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, is a first-person shooter video game released on November 5, 2013, for PlayStation 3, Wii U, Windows, and Xbox 360. It was also a launch title for PlayStation 4 on November 15, 2013, in North America and November 29, 2013, in Europe, and for Xbox One on November 22, 2013, worldwide. Set in a near-future scenario following a devastating mass event in the Middle East, the game features a new storyline, characters, and a dedicated dog companion named Riley. It offers both a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes, including the new Extinction mode where players fight alien creatures.

Call of Duty: Ghosts achieved significant commercial success. By October 2019, it had sold approximately 28.89 million units worldwide, placing it among the best-selling titles in the Call of Duty franchise. It was reported that the game generated $1 billion in sales to retailers on its first day. It also became the top-selling title on PlayStation 4 at North American retailers shortly after the console's launch and the most pre-ordered Xbox One title at major North American retailers.
