    Bones is a popular American crime procedural television series that premiered on FOX on September 13, 2005. Season 2 of the show follows Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), as they continue to solve murders by examining bones and other remains. 

    The season comprises of 21 episodes and was aired from August 30, 2006, to May 16, 2007. In this season, the main characters of the show continue to investigate various murders, while also dealing with personal and professional challenges. 

    The season sees the addition of several recurring characters, including:

    1. Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) - an FBI psychologist who is assigned to the team to evaluate their performance
    2. Zack Addy (Eric Millegan) - the graduate student and forensic anthropologist who becomes a permanent member of the team
    3. Max Keenan (Ryan O'Neal) - Brennan's estranged father who is on the run from the law

    Throughout the season, Brennan and Booth investigate a wide range of murders, from a bride who is killed on her wedding day to a body found in a water tank. The season also sees the team members dealing with personal struggles, including Brennan's search for her long-lost mother and Hodgins' realization that he is in love with Angela.

    Season 2 is notable for its mix of science, humor, and character-driven drama, with the relationship between Brennan and Booth continuing to be a major focus of the show. The season also features several emotional and dramatic storylines, including the discovery of Brennan's mother's remains and the arrest of Max Keenan.
