    Bones is a popular American crime procedural television series that premiered on FOX on September 13, 2005. Season 1 of the show follows Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, D.C., and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), as they team up to solve murders by examining bones and other remains. 

    The season comprises of 22 episodes and was aired from September 13, 2005, to May 17, 2006. In this season, the main characters of the show are introduced, including:

    1. Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) - the forensic anthropologist
    2. FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) - the former Army sniper and current FBI agent
    3. Dr. Jack Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) - the entomologist and conspiracy theorist
    4. Dr. Zach Addy (Eric Millegan) - the brilliant graduate student and forensic anthropologist
    5. Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) - the forensic artist and Brennan's best friend
    6. Dr. Daniel Goodman (Jonathan Adams) - the administrator of the Jeffersonian Institute

    Throughout the season, Brennan and Booth investigate various murders, from a decomposed body found in a sewer to a skeleton discovered in a popular nightclub. The season also sees the team members learning to work together and developing their relationships with each other.

    Season 1 is notable for its mix of forensic science and witty banter, with Brennan's literal interpretation of language and Booth's street smarts leading to many humorous moments. The season also introduces several recurring characters, including Dr. Camille Saroyan (Tamara Taylor), the head of the forensic division of the Jeffersonian Institute.
