The Bobby Darin Story - Mack The Knife is a compilation album by American singer Bobby Darin, released in 1959 by Atco Records. The album features some of Darin's biggest hits, including "Mack the Knife," "Dream Lover," "Splish Splash," and "Beyond the Sea."
The album serves as a career retrospective for Darin, highlighting his versatility as a singer and songwriter. It includes tracks from his early rock and roll days, as well as his more sophisticated later material, such as his interpretation of "Mack the Knife," which won him a Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1960.
The album is also notable for featuring a previously unreleased track, "Artificial Flowers" is a haunting ballad about a young girl who sells flowers on the street and is eventually killed in a factory accident.
