Basia – Time And Tide

Basia's debut studio album, "Time and Tide," was released on April 3, 1987, in Europe and on August 21, 1987, in the United States by Epic Records. This jazz-pop and sophisti-pop album features hit songs such as "Promises," "New Day for You," and the title track, "Time and Tide." The album achieved significant commercial success, earning a platinum sales certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling one million copies in the U.S. It also received a gold certification in France. "Time and Tide" performed well on the Billboard charts, peaking at number 36 on the US Billboard 200 and reaching number 1 on the US Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. The single "Time and Tide" charted at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 19 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. "New Day for You" reached number 5 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, and "Promises" peaked at number 8 on the same chart.
