Arthur Christmas is a 2011 CGI-animated Christmas fantasy comedy film that reveals the incredible, never-before-seen answer to every child's question: "So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?" The film centers on Santa's clumsy but kind-hearted son, Arthur, who discovers that one child's present has been missed by Santa's ultra-high-tech operation. With the help of his eccentric Grandsanta, a rebellious young elf named Bryony, an old sleigh, and a team of untrained reindeer, Arthur embarks on a desperate, frantic, and hilarious mission to deliver the last gift before Christmas morning dawns, threatening to end the magic of Christmas forever. The film explores themes of family, tradition versus technology, and the true spirit of Christmas.

Arthur Christmas was released in the United Kingdom on November 11, 2011, and in the United States on November 23, 2011.

The major actors and actresses who lent their voices to the film include James McAvoy as Arthur, Hugh Laurie as Steve, Bill Nighy as Grandsanta, Jim Broadbent as Santa, Imelda Staunton as Mrs. Santa, and Ashley Jensen as Bryony.

The film was directed by Sarah Smith and Barry Cook. The producers include Peter Lord, Steve Pegram, Carla Shelley, and David Sproxton.

Arthur Christmas performed moderately at the box office, grossing $46,462,469 domestically and $101,092,774 internationally, for a worldwide total of $147,555,243 against a budget of $100 million.
