Moon Safari is the debut studio album by French duo Air (Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel), released January 16, 1998 by Source and Virgin. Written and produced by Godin and Dunckel, the album was recorded at their home studio, nicknamed Around the Golf, and at Gang Studios in Paris, with string arrangements recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and mastering completed at The Exchange in London.
The ten-track album blends downtempo electronica, lounge, and space age pop influences into a sound that became closely associated with the French touch movement of the late 1990s. It includes the singles Sexy Boy, Kelly Watch the Stars, and All I Need, the latter featuring American vocalist Beth Hirsch, alongside the extended opener La Femme d'Argent. Moon Safari is widely regarded as a landmark album of its era and remains Air's best-known work.
