Ace Combat 5 - The Unsung War

Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is a combat flight simulation video game developed and published by Namco for the PlayStation 2. ¹ It was released in Japan on October 21, 2004, in North America on October 25, 2004, and in Europe on February 18, 2005, where it was known as Ace Combat: Squadron Leader. In this installment of the Ace Combat series, players take on the role of "Blaze," an Osean fighter pilot leading Wardog Squadron during a war between Osea and Yuktobania. The game features over fifty licensed real-world jet aircraft within a fictional world setting. Unlike its predecessor, Ace Combat 5 does not have a multiplayer mode. A limited number of copies were bundled with the Hori Flightstick 2 accessory. In 2019, it was re-released on the PlayStation 4 as a pre-order bonus for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, running as a port of the original PS2 game at higher resolutions.
