Robots is a delightful animated comedy-adventure film released in 2005. The movie is set in a whimsical world inhabited by robots of all shapes and sizes, each with their unique personalities and abilities. The story centers around Rodney Copperbottom, voiced by Ewan McGregor, a young and ambitious robot with big dreams of becoming a great inventor like his idol, Bigweld, voiced by Mel Brooks.
As Rodney embarks on his journey to Robot City, he quickly realizes that the metropolis is not as welcoming as he hoped. He discovers that Bigweld's once-thriving company is now under the control of a malevolent robot named Ratchet, voiced by Greg Kinnear, who is replacing old and outdated robots with shiny, new, and soulless models.
Determined to bring back Bigweld and uphold the values of friendship, individuality, and inclusivity, Rodney teams up with a motley crew of robot friends, including the charming and quirky Fender, voiced by Robin Williams, the tough and loyal Cappy, voiced by Halle Berry, and the eccentric inventor, Aunt Fanny, voiced by Jennifer Coolidge.
