Atomica is a 2017 science fiction thriller film directed by Dagen Merrill and starring Dominic Monaghan, Sarah Habel, and Tom Sizemore. The movie is set in a remote nuclear power plant in the future where communications have been lost, and two workers are sent to investigate what has happened.
The story follows the character of Abby Dixon (played by Sarah Habel), a young safety inspector who is sent to the power plant to investigate the sudden disappearance of the facility's chief engineer. Upon arrival, she finds that the plant is on the verge of a catastrophic meltdown due to a malfunctioning reactor, and there are only two workers left at the facility.
Abby works with the workers, Robinson (played by Dominic Monaghan) and Zek (played by Tom Sizemore), to figure out what is going on and fix the reactor before it's too late. As they work together, Abby starts to suspect that something sinister is going on at the plant and that the workers may not be who they seem.
The tension builds as the characters race against time to prevent a disaster and uncover the truth behind the mysterious events at the plant. The movie features a claustrophobic and intense atmosphere, with strong performances from the main cast.
