Annie Lennox's debut solo studio album, "Diva," was released on April 6, 1992, by RCA Records. It is the first album in her official discography following her work with Eurythmics. The album features several hit songs, including "Why," "Walking on Broken Glass," and "Little Bird."
"Diva" achieved significant commercial success, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. In the United Kingdom, it entered the UK Albums Chart at number one and has sold over 1.2 million copies, earning a 4x Platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). In the United States, "Diva" peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 2x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales exceeding 2 million copies. The album also received critical acclaim, winning the Brit Award for British Album of the Year in 1993 and garnering nominations for Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the Grammy Awards the same year, where it won for Best Long Form Music Video.
