The Massacre, the second studio album by 50 Cent, was released on March 3, 2005, via Interscope Records, Shady Records, G-Unit Records, and Aftermath Entertainment. It is the follow-up to his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Hit songs from The Massacre include "Candy Shop" featuring Olivia, "Disco Inferno", "Just a Lil Bit", and "Outta Control" featuring Mobb Deep on the remix.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 1.15 million copies in its first four days and remained at the top for six weeks. By the end of 2005, The Massacre was the second best-selling album of the year in the United States. It has been certified 6× Platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding six million copies. Worldwide, the album has sold over nine million copies.
