Good Luck Chuck is a romantic comedy film released in 2007, directed by Mark Helfrich and starring Dane Cook and Jessica Alba in the lead roles. The movie follows the story of Charlie Logan (Dane Cook), a dentist in his early thirties, who is cursed to be a "good luck charm" for women. The curse states that any woman who sleeps with Charlie will find her true love immediately after, which leads to a string of one-night stands with women hoping to find their soulmates.
Charlie's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Cam Wexler (Jessica Alba), a clumsy and accident-prone penguin specialist, who is initially immune to his charm. As Charlie becomes infatuated with Cam, he realizes that he truly cares for her and wants to break the curse in order to pursue a meaningful relationship with her. With the help of his best friend, Stu (Dan Fogler), Charlie sets out on a mission to find a way to rid himself of the curse and win Cam's heart.
As the story progresses, Charlie faces various challenges and comedic mishaps in his pursuit of love. Along the way, he also deals with his troubled relationship with his childhood friend, Reba (Ellia English), who believes in the curse and is convinced that Charlie is responsible for her failed relationships.
