Galveston

Galveston is a 2018 crime drama film directed by Mélanie Laurent, based on a novel of the same name by Nic Pizzolatto. The movie follows Roy Cady (played by Ben Foster), a tough and grizzled hitman who is diagnosed with lung cancer and given only a few months to live. After a job gone wrong, Roy finds himself on the run and takes Rocky (played by Elle Fanning), a young prostitute, with him.  

The unlikely pair travels to Galveston, Texas, to hide out and plan their next move. As they try to evade the people who are after Roy, they develop a complex relationship and try to make sense of their troubled pasts. Along the way, they encounter various characters, including a vengeful drug lord and a sympathetic bartender, who add to the film's tense atmosphere.

Galveston is a gritty and atmospheric movie that showcases the talent of its lead actors. Ben Foster delivers a nuanced performance as Roy, a man who is tough and ruthless but also vulnerable and haunted by his past. Elle Fanning shines as Rocky, a young woman who is tough and resilient despite her difficult life.
