Freeway is a 1996 American crime thriller film directed by Matthew Bright and starring Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland. The movie is a modern retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, with a gritty and violent twist.
The film follows the story of Vanessa Lutz (Reese Witherspoon), a troubled and abused teenager living in poverty with her drug-addicted mother and stepfather. As Vanessa continues her journey, she encounters a series of eccentric and dangerous characters, including a drug-addicted prostitute and a white supremacist couple. With Wolverton hot on her trail, Vanessa must use her wits and survival instincts to evade him and reach her destination.
