End of Watch is a 2012 American crime drama film written and directed by David Ayer. The movie follows the daily lives of two young Los Angeles police officers, Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Peña), as they patrol some of the city's most dangerous neighborhoods.

The film is shot in a found-footage style, which gives it a documentary-like feel, and adds a sense of realism to the story. As the officers go about their daily routine, they encounter a variety of dangerous situations, including drug busts, gang violence, and shootouts.

As Taylor and Zavala become more and more involved in their work, they also become close friends, relying on each other for support and protection on the job. However, their bond is put to the test when they stumble upon a drug cartel's operation and become the targets of a dangerous gang leader.

The film features strong performances from Gyllenhaal and Peña, who bring a sense of authenticity to their roles as police officers. The action sequences are intense and well-staged, and the film does a good job of showing the gritty reality of police work.
