Dirty Dancing is a romantic drama film set in the summer of 1963. The story revolves around Frances "Baby" Houseman, a young and innocent 17-year-old girl played by Jennifer Grey, who vacations with her family in the Catskill Mountains. There, she meets and falls in love with Johnny Castle, a charismatic dance instructor played by Patrick Swayze.

Johnny works at the resort as a dance instructor, teaching guests how to dance for the evening events. When Baby discovers that Johnny's dance partner, Penny, is pregnant and in need of an abortion, she borrows the money from her father and helps Penny by accompanying her to the clinic.

As a result of her actions, Baby begins to spend more time with Johnny and eventually learns how to dance from him. The two of them develop a passionate relationship, despite their differences in social class and background.

However, Baby's father disapproves of her relationship with Johnny, and things come to a head when he forbids her from seeing him. In the climax of the film, Johnny's dance partner is unable to perform, and Baby steps in to dance with him, wowing the crowd with their performance of the iconic final dance to the song "I've Had The Time Of My Life."

Dirty Dancing is known for its timeless music, including the hit songs "Hungry Eyes" and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life," and its memorable dance scenes. The movie has become a classic in popular culture, and is regarded as one of the greatest romantic films of all time.
