It was released on July 24, 2001, by RCA Nashville. The album was managed by producer Byron Gallimore and aimed for a teenage and young adult audience.
The album peaked at number 45 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and spawned two singles that entered the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. They also released a popular rendition of "The Christmas Shoes."
